Your Right to Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your Monkey Finance account at any time. As part of this process, Monkey Finance removes or anonymizes the personal information associated with your account in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Delete Your Account

If you have access to your account, you can request account deletion directly from within the application:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account

Before your account is deleted, you will be asked to confirm your decision.

If You Cannot Access Your Account

If you no longer have access to your account, you can request assistance by emailing:

Please include:

  • The email address associated with your account.
  • A brief explanation of why you cannot access your account.

We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing your request.

What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When your deletion request is processed:

  • Your Monkey Finance account will be permanently deactivated.
  • Personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, and other identifying profile data) will be permanently removed or anonymized.
  • Your authentication credentials, active sessions, and API tokens will be revoked.
  • Your data will no longer be associated with an identifiable individual.
  • Any information retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or aggregated statistical purposes will be kept only in an anonymized form where possible.

Once the deletion process has been completed, your account cannot be restored.

Data We May Retain

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information where required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
  • Resolve disputes.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity.
  • Enforce our legal agreements.
  • Maintain anonymized statistical or analytical data that can no longer be linked to an identifiable individual.

Any retained information will only be kept for the period required by applicable law or for the legitimate purpose for which it was retained.

Processing Time

Requests submitted through the application are typically processed immediately.

Requests submitted by email are generally processed within 30 days, although most requests are completed sooner.
